If you've compared prices across states, you may have noticed that the NSW RSA course costs more than RSA training in other parts of Australia. The higher course cost reflects a fee that's specific to how RSA certification works in NSW.
To sell, serve or supply liquor in NSW you must hold a Competency Card with an RSA endorsement as mandated by the NSW government. The total course cost you pay includes a $107 fee associated with obtaining your Competency Card, as mandated by Liquor & Gaming NSW.
We pay this fee directly to Liquor & Gaming NSW on your behalf in order to issue your interim certificate, which is the document you need to then apply for and obtain your Competency Card.
In short, the total course cost covers two things: the cost of delivering your training and assessment, and the fee for obtaining the Competency Card.
